Building Regulation Approval

I have now received approval for my building regs. Woo!

I had been a little nervous to press on too much until I had heard back from building control. I was granted approval with a couple of conditions such as ensuring upstairs windows meet MOE (Means of Escape) regulations. I had specified that they would, but not having specified the exact window, I guess they want to know the window I choose will definitely meet the requirements. Likewise, linked, mains-powered fire detectors. I had also specified that these would be fitted as per regulations, but had not specified the exact location. So all in all, I am really happy and relieved that everything else obviously met with their approval.

I was very unsure about how much to put in or leave out of such drawings, so I have posted mine below for others to check out. As always, I stress that these are intended only for you to see what I did. I hope they prove useful - but I am not claiming to be an expert on such matters. If you choose to use any of my layout ideas, you do so at your own risk. Naturally you will have your own design concerns and should do your own research and reading on the subject.
